Stary Młyn Hotel is a place where the world-famous writer Gustaw Herling-Grudziński spent his childhood and youth.
At the entrance gate to the hotel there is a stone obelisk with a plaque commemorating the writer. Here also begins the literary path - leading to the railway station – the daily route of the young Gustaw Herling-Grudziński to school, described in his most famous novel ""A World Apart"".
